The Library is headed by University Librarian with the statutory status of a University Officer.  She is supported by 3 Asstt. Librarians, 29 Library Assistants, 19 Library Attendants, 1 Superintendent,  3 Office Assistants, 3 Clerk-cum-Typists, 1 Personal Assistant, 1 Junior Scale  Stenographer, 1 Steno-Typist, 1 Store Keeper, 1 Foreman (AC), 1 Mechanic/Operator (AC), 1 Bindery Foreman, 4 Book Binders, 3 Bindery Attendants, 6 Farashes,  6 Security Guards, 3 Messengers and 1 Safai Karamchari. Besides, sweeping of the library is outsourced. The professional library staff  have academic bent of mind. Over 100 papers and nine books have been authored/edited by them.

The entire library staff, who are expected to have skills in the use of modern technologies, are  proficient  in handling  computer hardware and using library management and other softwares. The Library hosted All India Library Conference of ILA in Dec. 1999, organized a Training Programme for Librarians in 1986, a Workshop of SAU/DAU Librarians in March 2008, and a number of such other programmes.
